Bonfire Night Flag – Guy Fawkes Night, otherwise known as Bonfire Night, is a yearly celebration that takes place on the fifth of November. It commemorates the events that took place on the 5^th of November 1605, when Guy Fawkes was arrested when he was guarding explosives that were intended to create an explosion below the House of Lords. He was arrested and later tried, along with several of the other plotters. As a celebration, people lit bonfires around London to celebrate that the King had survived the assassination attempt. This was later introduced as an annual public holiday and has been celebrated every year since.
