Welsh Dragon Black Flag Brief History
Used at the Battle of Bosworth by Henry IIV in 1485 the welsh dragon black flag is a stunning print.
The romans used the dragon as a war emblem. Legend has it they had it on a piece of cloth attached to a pole. When the wind blew it would make a hissing noise. The design was then adopted and used as the first official welsh emblem in 1807.
The red dragon has been used since 655AD since the reign of Cadwaladr.
